Last Monday i went to Broga for mountain climbing with a bunch of my friends. Broga is a small town that sits on the border between Negeri Sembilan and Selangor, where half of Broga is located in N.S. and the other half is in Selangor. Most of the residents living there are chinese, and you can see quite a lot of chinese restaurants despite the small size of the town.

The mountain we climbed is called Broga Hill, or Bukit Lalang in Malay. It is quite a small hill and relatively easy to climb compared to other hill or mountain i have been to. To my surprise, there are already a lot of people when we reached there at about 540am in the morning! Maybe its because that day was a public holiday and some of them even bring along some large Malaysian flag with them. Maybe that is their way of showing their love to our country.

The wind was really chilling and refreshing, especially when i slept for only 2 hours the day before. Although i went there with little sleep and had only milo for breakfast, i felt surprisingly energetic and active that morning and virtually ran up to the top. The view was actually not as good as what i expected, but still i managed to grab a few nice shots with my aging Nokia N73. Always wanted to change to another phone with at least 8 mega pixel camera with xenon flash, but lack of pocket money virtually render my dream impossible. Sigh.

Cute dog. Dont lick me.

After hanging around the top for more than 1 hour, we decided to go down and frankly, the way downhill is really boring, especially the last few hundred meters, the scenes were the same all the way (i didnt notice it when i went up because it was too dark) and nothing interesting caught me eyes. Then, we took off for our next destination, a temple nearby which i still dont know the name.=)

Hey, i see a pretty gal there!

Hey, i see a pretty gal there!

There are a lot of statues and decorations of giant fruits around the temple, most notably the 12 Chinese zodiac. A few photos taken then we were off to have our breakfast/lunch at a nearby fish pond, having grilled fish. I would give a B for the food, thumbs up for the freshness of the fish but a no-no for the enormous amount of salt in the sauce. Damn salty especially when its cold!!

This is part 1 of the trip, im going to continue for part 2 when im free.=)
